OK don’t go by the title entirely, lots of good Shawarma joints in Kuwait, if you pass by shaa’ra matam (restaurant street) in Salmiya there are hundreds of these restaurants on both sides of the street, one perticular place we’ve been visiting lately is ‘Ebn Al Wazeer’. I find it amusing because the name litteraly translates to “Son of a Minister’ (correct me if I am wrong) funny because if some shop in Mumbai will have the similar sounding name it would be talk of the town. But I guess it’s normal to have such names for shops in Middle east.
Oh! About the Shawarma? It’s quite good, it’s clean (which is very important as they say the taste of Shawarma gets better when it is mixed with chefs sweat
#kidding) ‘No fries’ in the mix which again very important as fries are highly carcinogenic) beautiful mix of chicken, garlic paste and a pinch of pickles. Though 300 fills is a bomb for the quantity, it’s always good to eat less and be satisfied than to OD on Shawarma and get a heartburn.
What’s your favorite shawrma joint?
