Review: Dave Mathews Band – Away From the World (2012)

Away from the World is the 6th studio album of Charlottesville, Virginia based rock veterans ‘Dave Mathews Band. Without deviating from their trademark Saxophone/ trumpet laden sound the album is an extension of their highly successful album ‘Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King (2009) just a tad bit mellower. Though the album requires a few extra spins to catch on to, songs like Broken things, Gaucho and Mercy grab your attention instantaneously. Yet again DMB delivers one fine record without trying (m)any experimentations, for die-hard DMB fans ‘Away from the world’ is a quite essential must have record.
